Shout out #1: Afghan Dreamers

While watching BBC Click (a programme by the BBC sharing stories related to technology), I came across an amazing group of people, dubbed “The Afghan Dreamers“.

This is a group of girls based In Afghanistan, who get together weekly to code and build robots. Against all odds (which included getting their visas rejected twice to take part in a robotics competition), they’ve persevered and inspired others to get involved in a sector that’s predominantly pursued by boys.

I salute them for their persistence and their willingness to make a difference.
