The price of thinking differently

I read an interesting newsletter today citing Justine Musk’s Quora post to the question, “How can I become great like Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, or Elon Musk?“.

You can find her answer here.

Essentially, her answer explains that their extreme success results from an extreme personality, and at the cost of many things. They think about concepts in new ways that allow them to unlock new ideas. However, the majority of people consider them to be insane because of how differently they view the world.

Thinking differently allows you to have a different perspective and bring something unique at the table. But in its extreme form, this can put off a vast amount of people you work with. Finding that sweet spot between these two areas are where the real wins tend to be.
