Maintaining friendships

There’s a virtue to keeping friendships intact. It’s easy to drift and lose touch with the people were once close to.

However, keeping in touch with the people who are part of your life, or, who used to be a big part of your life and you still want them around, takes effort.

I read a post today about a course being taught at university on marriage, and one of the findings was that marriage and relationships takes consistent effort. I’ve found that the same for friendships.

Nothing worthwhile is easy, but it wouldn’t be so sought-after in later years if it was easy thing to do.

Be kind, be helpful, be courteous and most of all, be a friend.
